Henchy moved back to New York and briefly worked on Wall Street, but wanted to work in comedy, so he quits and in 1995 made his screenwriting debut in an episode of “Campus Cops”, before in 1996 writing the script for “Star Trek: 30 Years and Beyond”. In 1997, Chris worked on the TV special “AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Martin Scorsese”, and from 1997 to 1998 he wrote three episodes of “Alright Already”. In 2000, Henchy created the Primetime Emmy Award-nominated series called “Battery Park”, while from 2000 to 2002, he wrote four and produced 45 episodes of the comedy series “Spin City”, the success of which helped Henchy to increase his net worth significantly.
Chris Henchy is a co-creator of “Life with Bonnie” (2002-2004), “I’m with Her” (2003-2004), and he also wrote two and produced 14 episodes of “Entourage” (2005).
