BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — Harrison Boulevard in Boise's North End will be closed for Halloween as ghosts and ghouls take over the streets for Harrison's Annual Trick or Treating Spooktacular!
Houses along the boulevard are decked out with scary scenes and their creativity continues to evolve each and every year.
Homeowners tell CBS 2 News that they expect 3,000-4,500 trick-or-treaters and may give out over 6,000 pieces of candy.
For the safety of trick-or-treaters, the street is closed to traffic and will only be allowing pedestrians on Thursday, Oct. 31 between Resseguie Street and Hill Road.
The closure started at 3:30 p.m. and will go until 9:30 p.m.
Boise Police and Ada County Paramedics will be patrolling the area ensuring that everyone has a safe and fun Halloween.
"Lemp Street will be the only side street open, and Boise Police will be at the intersection of Harrison and Lemp to help children crossing at that location," ACHD said. "Resseguie and Hill will remain open during the event."
