Madisyn Pacheco Obituary: High School Soccer Player Passes Away

Madisyn Pacheco Obituary- The former soccer player of Mt. Hope High School, Madisyn Pacheco, passed away on November 19 at age 22. Hundreds have taken to social media to give their last tributes to the young soul.

The youngster took her last breath in the presence of her family. Her mother, Erica Pacheco, confirmed her daughter’s passing through her Facebook page. 

Madisyn was in great health condition only a few weeks ago but suddenly fell ill with a brain infection, which spread quickly through her body. She had been taken to hospital on November 15, but sadly didn’t return to her home. 

Rhode Island community has been mourning Madisyn’s demise. Destiny’s Hometown Diner has announced that their November 24 sales will go to Pacheco Family. Similarly, hundreds have contributed to the fundraiser announced in Madisyn’s memory. 

Madisyn Pacheco Obituary: Cause Of Her Demise

A former soccer player at Mt. Hope High School, Madisyn Pacheco, passed away at age 22. She graduated from Mt. Hope in 2019 and was one of their prolific players. 

Born to Erica Pacheco, Madisyn was born and raised in Bristol, Rhode Island. Before her demise, Madisyn worked at East Bay Fish Company, a company run by her family. She joined the company on July 20, 2023.

On November 15, the East Bay Fish Company gave an update about Madisyn’s health on their Facebook page. They wrote that Madisyn was transported to Rhode Island Hospital Medical Intensive Care Unit from Newport Hospital.

On inspection, they found out Madisyn had a brain infection and was being closely monitored by the medical staff. The Facebook page also wrote that the doctors said the infection spreads really quickly and it takes more time to get better. 

Sadly, Madisyn might not have responded well to the treatment, which led to her demise. On her Facebook page and the Facebook page of East Bay Fish Company, Erica shared a post confirming Madisyn had passed away. 

Erica wrote, “It is with GREAT sadness today at 4:51 pm, our BEAUTIFUL AMAZING DAUGHTER passed away peacefully in my arms, surrounded by her father and loved ones.”

She further wrote, “I lost my best friend, my baby girl, but I gained a beautiful guardian angel. She truly left a mark on this world and will never be forgotten!!”

Madisyn also has two brothers, who were seen with her in the 17th-anniversary pictures shared by her mom, Erica. They are believed to be Madisyn’s half brothers, with Erica having been married for the second time to Louie Pacheco.

Tributes Pour In For Madisyn Pacheco

Mt. Hope High School was the first one to give tribute to Madisyn and her life from their Facebook handle. They shared a collage of Madisyn playing soccer and enjoying her time at Mt. Hope with her teammates. 

They wrote, “Maddie was a devoted and decorated soccer player from the graduating class of 2019. A fierce competitor at the center-back position with incredible athleticism and a great teammate always.”

They further wrote, “Maddie will forever be remembered as a bright light by faculty, coaches, and her teammates on and off the field.”

Bayside FC was another soccer side that gave tribute to the late soccer player’s life. A couple of Madisyn’s close friends also wrote emotional posts talking about the time they spent together.

Lynsey Medeiros and Olivia Parente shared a photo of them holding Madisyn’s hand for one last time on their Facebook handle. Madisyn was more than a friend to them and nobody expected her to pass away so suddenly and at such a young age.
